i) Who are we?
KWA Welfare Association was started in 1994 as registered self help group. In 96 KWA was registered in as a savings and credit organization (SACCO). The welfare idea was maintained.
ii) How do I become a KWA member?
Membership is voluntary and we are open to organised individuals, groups, chamas, business persons and companies. If you fall in the above category one is free to fully fill our registration form online, from our agents or office and submit it to our nearby office.
Note: On joining KWA Sacco one becomes a member of the welfare fund.
The Membership fee is KES.1,000/=………………Welfare fund KES. 300/= monthly. To date our membership is over 800 with a share capital of over 10 million, deposits over 88 million and loans to members of over 150 million as at December 2015.
iii) How do I benefit from being a member?
On joining one pays for shares capital worth kes 5,000 and thereafter monthly contribution towards deposits accumulation. Deposits are made in order to borrow or earn interest. The minimum one can save in a month is KES. 2,000/= (Kenya shillings two thousand only). However, we encourage you to save more depending on your capability.
